The Carolina Mountains Literary Festival announces “The Theresa and Frances Coletta Student Scholarship” which will allow free admission for  Avery, Mitchell and Yancey County middle school and high school students to the Saturdaynight Keynote with the Pulitzer Prize Finalist, David Haskell, author of The Forest Unseen: A Year’s Watch in Nature. The Carolina Mountains Literary Festival in Burnsville, NC on September 8-10, 2016 will offer 50 free presentations with authors, musicians, artists and actors. There will be 2 ticketed evening events that require preregistration. Friday night September 9 is a locally sourced banquet with speaker, Fred Chappell.
